What it can include
- Your content, reorganised for phones
- Services, products, prices, opening hours and contact details from your website, restructured into short, tappable mobile screens.
- Features a website struggles with
- Saved accounts, one-tap rebooking or reordering, loyalty cards and status updates that make returning customers' lives easier.
- Push notifications with consent
- Appointment reminders, order updates and occasional offers for customers who have opted in.
- Connected to what you already use
- Where your website runs on a platform with an API, such as Shopify or WooCommerce, the app can use the same products and orders.
- Content stays in sync
- Updates you make in your existing systems or a simple content backend appear in the app without a new release.
- Your brand, not a template
- Colours, typography and imagery taken from your site and adapted to iPhone and Android conventions.
Your website is the starting point, not the finished app
If your business already has a website, a lot of the hard thinking behind an app has been done. You know your services, your prices, your products and how you describe them. A website-to-mobile-app project takes that content and turns it into an app your returning customers will actually want on their phone.
The key word is returning. A website is excellent at being found and at explaining what you do to someone new. An app is better at the second, fifth and twentieth visit: rebooking the same appointment, reordering the usual items, checking the status of a job or collecting a reward.
Who this service is for
This service suits businesses that:
- already have a website with useful content — services, menus, products, prices;
- have customers who return regularly;
- receive a lot of repeat phone calls or emails for the same things ("Can I book the same as last time?", "Is my car ready?");
- want a direct channel to customers alongside email and social media.
Three ways to turn a website into an app
There is no single correct answer, and we will explain the options honestly.
1. A progressive web app (PWA)
A PWA is a website built so it can be added to the home screen, work offline in part and, on supported browsers, receive notifications. It is often the cheapest option and avoids app store review. The trade-offs are discoverability (no app store listing in the usual sense), more limited access to some device features, and behaviour that differs between browsers and platforms.
2. A "wrapper" app
A wrapper puts your existing website inside an app shell. It is fast to produce, but the result usually feels like a website, and Apple's App Review Guidelines state that apps should offer more than a repackaged website. We do not recommend this route for most businesses.
3. A real app built from your website content
This is what we usually build: native-feeling screens made with React Native, Expo and TypeScript, using your website's content and, where possible, its data. The app adds features designed for phones — accounts, saved preferences, rebooking, notifications, loyalty — and runs on both iPhone and Android from one codebase.
How the free preview works for you
Because you already have a website, we can show you what your app could look like before you spend anything.
- You submit your website address through our request form.
- We analyse your public content: services, products, opening hours, branding and images.
- We design an interactive concept tailored to your type of business.
- A person reviews it before it is sent.
- You receive a private link and can try it on your phone or computer.
- If you want to go ahead, we agree the scope and send a written quote.
The concept runs in a browser and simulates features like booking and checkout. It is not the finished app and is not published anywhere. There is no obligation.
What changes between the website and the app
A good conversion is not a copy. Typically we:
- shorten long pages into scannable cards and lists;
- move the most frequent actions (book, order, call, directions) to a tab bar or a single tap;
- add accounts so details are remembered;
- add reminders and updates through notifications, with permission;
- remove content that matters to first-time visitors but not to regular customers;
- follow iPhone and Android conventions for navigation, typography and accessibility.
Keeping the app and website in sync
Nobody wants to update the same opening hours in two places. Depending on your setup, we can:
- read products, orders or bookings directly from your platform's API (for example Shopify, WooCommerce or your booking software) — see API integration;
- provide a simple content backend for things like news, offers and opening hours;
- link to specific website pages for content that changes rarely.
What is possible depends on whether your existing systems provide an API and what your plan allows.
What affects the cost
The indicative starting price is from €1,499. The final price depends on the number of screens, the features you choose, integrations with existing systems, whether a backend is needed, customer accounts, payments, notifications, native capabilities such as the camera or location, and ongoing maintenance. A website with a well-structured platform behind it is usually easier to connect than one with content only in page text.
Honest limitations
- App store approval is decided by Apple and Google. We build to their guidelines, but cannot guarantee the outcome.
- A PWA may be enough. If your customers rarely return, an app may not be worth it, and we will say so.
- Notifications are opt-in. Customers choose whether to allow them.
- Integrations depend on your current providers. Some platforms do not offer an API or restrict it.
- Apps need maintenance. New iOS and Android versions arrive every year.

Frequently asked questions
Can you just wrap my website in an app?
Technically it is possible, but Apple's App Review Guidelines discourage apps that are little more than a repackaged website, and such apps often feel slow. We reuse your content but build real app screens and features.
Do I need to change my website?
Usually not. The app can sit alongside your website. If your website platform offers an API, the app can share data with it.
Should I build a progressive web app instead?
A progressive web app (PWA) can be a good, cheaper option for some businesses. It installs from the browser rather than an app store and has some platform limitations. We will say so if a PWA would meet your needs.
How is the free concept made from my website?
We analyse your public website content — services, products, branding, opening hours and images — and design an interactive concept around them. A person reviews it before we send you a private link.
How much does it cost?
Our indicative starting price is from €1,499. The final price depends on screens, features, integrations, backend, accounts, payments, notifications, native capabilities and maintenance.
